South Dublin Music (SDM) employs various marketing methods, including traditional (flyer drop, newspaper adverts) and online channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google Adwords, Email Campaigns, and Owned Media at southdublinmusic.ie), to collect personal data from individuals interested in our educational offerings.

Data is stored under two headings

• Those taking lessons at the school;

• Those currently not taking lessons at the school, but who have expressed an interest, or made inquiries about taking lessons at the school.

In both cases, Parent/Guardian Name, Contact Number, Home Address, Email Address and Name of Student are maintained and stored for communication purposes.

SDM wishes to update current students on lesson updates, organizational developments, concert schedules, or changes to the class timetable and any other relevant information necessary for effective school administration.

SDM also wishes to gain consent to update all users on future marketing initiatives and in this regard seeks consent from subscribers to do so. At any point, a wish to be unsubscribed from receiving email updates, marketing, and communication can be made. All requests will be administered within a period of 3 working days.

Personal contact information will be stored for the duration of a student's enrollment at SDM. Past students, students not currently taking lessons at the school will have personal information removed from the database after a period of three years unless otherwise instructed.

All personal information is stored on a personal computer in a secure location and reasonable efforts to ensure security is maintained on an ongoing basis.
